Voice Integration Therapy:

Transformation Through Voice

Do you like your voice?

Do people listen when you talk?

Do people refer to you as boring?

Can you hold someone’s attention in a conversation?

Is your voice connected to you soul?

The Transformational Power of Voice was inspired from a spiritual experience that I had when I was studying acting in my early twenties. It is an academic book that focuses on the transformational qualities inherent in voice from the perspective of myths, archetypes, dreams, symbols, and sounds. Personal, historic, literary, and poetic examples illuminate these perspectives. Also discussed in depth is the interrelationship between Body, Voice and Soul, a new trinity that is emerging into our consciousness. This book contends that voice is the oral expression of soul.

Voice Integration Therapy (VIT), is an experiential program that I developed from the theoretical understandings of this book. I present these experiential programs individually or in group situations to help increase ones relationship to their Body, Voice, and Soul.

What is Voice Integration Therapy?

Voice Integration Therapy  (VIT) is a program I designed that uses vocal exercises as a method to assist individuals in releasing and transforming some of their psychological blocks.  It is not meant to replace talk therapy, but augments it by engaging one’s body and soul via the voice.

Who can benefit from Voice Integration Therapy?

Anyone who does not like his or her voice or who wants to improve their voice in order to communicate with greater clarity and ease can benefit. Increasing an individual’s awareness of their body and voice can raise their level of personal power  including their self-esteem and confidence.

Why are some speakers are boring to listen to?

Many times these so called boring speakers are brilliant individuals that don’t know how to convey their presentations vocally.  VIT has developed a series of techniques that can improve this.

If you are in therapy with another therapist, can you also do VIT?

Yes, Voice Integration Therapy can be done in conjunction with any other therapy, and does not replace regular therapy.

How long does Voice Integration Therapy take?

Since each person is unique and comes from a different background, they will have different challenges, so the length of therapy will vary.
